Sarah Croco

Sarah Croco is a professor in the Department of Government and Politics and a faculty associate at the Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan in the spring of 2008. Her research interests include: international conflict; the process by which citizens assign leaders responsibility for international wars; the value of policy consistency in elections; and how citizens respond to leaders who lie or try to shift blame. She is also the director of the Honors Global Challenges and Solutions Living Learning Program in the Honors College. She is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and was inducted into UMD's chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society in 2024 in recognition of her work in undergraduate teaching.
