Advancing Together (AT)

What is AT?

Advancing Together is a peer network for associate professors preparing to advance to full. The goals of the program are to:

  • Center joy and career fulfillment as a framework for understanding promotion.
  • Develop individualized, clear steps towards attaining full professor
  • Identify strategies for overcoming common barriers that associate professors encounter as they advance
  • Gain clarity on the promotion to full process and what is expected for advancement
  • Build meaningful networks and gain support for key career decisions

How AT Works

  • We ask that participants commit to attending 6/7 of the meetings for the full benefits of the program.
  • Meeting Time: 10am - 12pm (Lunch will be offered)
  • Meeting Dates:
    • Meetings marked with * will be in person. All others will be virtual.
    • Fall 2026: September 16*, October 21*, November 18, December 2
    • Spring 2027: February 3, April 7, May 5*
  • Facilitated by Dr. Brooke Fisher Lui

How to Apply

Application for this program closes on August 21, 2026. All applicants' information will be reviewed to determine that participants meet the eligibility criteria and participation will be confirmed by September 4, 2026.
