What is APTF?
Advancing Professional Track Faculty (APTF) is a peer network for early-career (1-4 years at UMD) PTK faculty (all genders). The goals of the program are to:
- Strengthen professional networks
- Build knowledge and awareness of strategies for professional growth
- Enhance knowledge of policies, practices and resources pertaining to PTK career success.
How APTF Works
- The professional community will meet 3 to 4 times each semester; some meetings will be in-person and some online. There will not be hybrid options for in-person meetings
- We ask that participants commit to attending at least 80% of the monthly meetings to receive the full benefits of the program.
- Meeting Time: 12:30 - 2:30 pm (Lunch will be served)
- Meeting Dates: Fall 2024: October 10, November 14, December 5; Spring 2025: February 6, March 27, April 24, May 8
- Facilitators: Dr. Jean Snell and Dr. Ursula Gorham

Applications for this program September 20th, 2024. Applicant information will be reviewed to determine that participants meet the eligibility criteria; participation will be confirmed by October 4th, 2024. Register Here.
