Colleen Byrne

Dr. Colleen Byrne is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology. As Director of the UMD Psychology Clinic, she oversees clinical training in evidence-based psychotherapy and assessment for doctoral students in the clinical psychology program. Since 2005, Dr. Byrne has served continuously on the Executive Committee for the Association of Psychology Training Clinics (APTC) including a term as President. Dr. Byrne is an active member of the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA) and currently serves as Chair of the Ethics Committee. During her career, Dr. Byrne has received multiple awards for distinguished service, excellence in mentorship, innovation in training, and professional leadership. Dr. Byrne is a frequent consultant and speaker in the areas of ethics and clinical supervision.
