Faculty departures are costly. Yet, many of us are unfamiliar with proactive strategies we can use to maximize the likelihood that faculty want to stay at UMD. This online interactive workshop highlights key practices that enhance climate, improve faculty development, and sustain cultures where faculty members thrive. It will include discussion of how and why to create a retention plan for new faculty. This event is cosponsored by the ADVANCE Program, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
