Jordana Moore Saggese

I am honored to be the first African-American woman to serve as the editor-in-chief of Art Journal, and am grateful to those mentors who have helped me along the way. Building on their example, I want to make space for greater diversity in the field -- both at the University of Maryland and beyond. In this role I hope to provide a space for a deeper consideration of the discipline of art history itself, and to complicate the dominant narratives.
