Amanda Shaffer

Amanda Shaffer currently serves as Diversity Officer for AGNR where she is responsible for managing, coordinating, and providing guidance in support of AGNR’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect (DEIR) programs in the college, MAES, and UME. She also coordinates all DEIR education for all AGNR faculty, staff, and graduate assistants. Shaffer has 20 years of experience designing diversity initiatives and workshops for academic institutions across the United States and has written multiple diversity focused guidebooks, videos, and toolkits. She regularly participates as an instructor for the HERS Leadership Institute, and as a facilitator for the ADVANCE GEO Partnership Bystander Intervention workshops.
