Mary Taylor-Lewis (she/her) serves in a professional track faculty role for the College of Education as Senior Coordinator for Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Diversity Officer. Mary has worked across the education sector in varying capacities focused on student development and support, diversity equity and inclusion strategy, and organizational transformation. Her most recent role was at Yale University as a program administrator focusing on race, indigeneity, and transnational migration. Prior to that, Mary served as the inaugural Chief Strategic Inclusion Officer for an independent boarding/day high school and is proud to have led the development of the school's first Vision for Belonging and Justice in her tenure. Mary has certificates in coaching from the Center for Creative Leadership, and facilitation training with the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Self-Assessment and Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
Mary received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Leadership Minor from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Arts in Higher Education, concentration in diversity and social justice from the University of Michigan.
