ADVANCE Professor for the PTK Faculty (campus-wide)
Colleen K. Worthington is a clinical professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Hearing & Speech Sciences. She has recently taken on the role as director of the HESP master’s program and teaches a graduate course in Diagnostic Principles and Methods. She was a member of the 2012-2014 Provost’s Task Force on non-tenure track faculty issues and was the faculty developer/coordinator for the campus-wide ADVANCE network for professional track faculty (PTK) from inception through 2017. Since then, she has served on numerous college and university level committees/advisory groups on PTK issues and is currently serving as a representative on the University Senate Executive Committee. She is the co-author of a leading textbook on treatment principles and techniques in speech-language pathology as well as a widely-adopted preschool curriculum for facilitating phonological awareness skills as a basis for early literacy development in young children.
