Jennifer Ann Golbeck is an Associate Professor of Information Studies and Affiliate Associate Professor of Computer Science. Dr. Golbeck's research focuses on algorithms that leverage personal data shared on social media and in other big data contexts to understand deeper, private information about people and their relationships. This connects to work on privacy, usable security, content recommendation, and trust. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Golbeck is a frequent guest on NPR and commercial radio and is a sought after keynote speaker.
